Terms of Service

Acceptance

By creating an account you agree to these Terms of Service, the Privacy & Data Security Policy, and the Financial Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability below (together, the “Agreement”). If you do not agree, do not use Northstar.

The service

Northstar is a personal-finance dashboard that aggregates your bank, brokerage, and related financial data and presents net-worth, spending, income, and investment views. The service is READ-ONLY over your money: it never executes trades, moves funds, or initiates payments on your behalf.

Your account & security

You are responsible for keeping your password, second factor (authenticator/passkey), and device secure, and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. You must be at least 18 and provide accurate information. One person per account.

Acceptable use

You may use Northstar only for your own personal, non-commercial financial management. You may not attempt to access other users’ data, probe or disrupt the service, scrape it, or use it unlawfully.

Subscriptions & billing

Paid subscriptions, free trials, per-platform billing, and question limits (where offered) are described at purchase and governed by the applicable app-store or payment processor terms in addition to this Agreement.

Termination

You may stop using the service and request deletion of your data at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for a breach of this Agreement or to comply with law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, dispute resolution) survive.
